On 2018 September 18th, a group of 26 students and lecturers from Via Design/TEKO Design and Business, Denmark made a visit to Thygesen Vietnam’s textile factory in Hung Yen province. The visit was warmly welcomed and introduced by our staff: Mr. Duong Van Truong – Factory Foreman, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nhung – Senior Merchandiser, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien – Dyeing Technician, Mr. Dao Van That – Senior Knitting Technician.
The students were well introduced to Thygesen Textile Vietnam, a production concept and production line in the factory, a process of handling an order in the textile industry, and how real-life making of garments takes place. In the Q&A section, the students were very excited to have their questions answered by staff. The visit was therefore of great interest to the students and of great importance to their ability to work within the industry, where almost all of the production takes place in Asia. All the students and lecturers showed a great appreciation for Thygesen Textile Vietnam for its effectiveness and they hope to bring more students to our factory to repeat the success next time.
